Bright, Shiny, Rainbow Colors is a beautifully illustrated book with vibrant colors and a nice variety of textures. My favourite is the shiny blue fish. My grandson prefers the bumpy red starfish.
I have to say that this book came at the perfect time. My grandson is starting that stage where he is ripping the pages in his favourite pop up books. Bright, Shiny, Rainbow Colors solves my problem. With this book, he's not only allowed to pull things out of the book but it's actually encouraged. The pull outs are pretty sturdy so I shouldn't have to worry about them being destroyed for quite a while. This unique feature also gives him a bit of a head start on doing puzzles as well.

From the silky red butterfly to the bumpy-shelled crab, this photographic touch-and-feel series covers all the popular themes of colors and sea life. Lively, read-aloud text introduces new concepts, encourages children to touch, tickle, and explore the textures, and to lift out the play pieces. Using the play pieces develops creativity and manual dexterity, and putting them back into the books encourages sorting and matching skills.
