It emphasizes the need for the human heart to be honest, set free, and liberated.
Max speaks of the "sweet spot" of life in which God is glorified, we are fulfilled, and we are doing what we were created for.
General: The core theory here is that man was created for a greater purpose beyond ourselves, a uniquely tailored purpose which only we can fill, and that when we are fulfilling that purpose, we find contentment and satisfaction.
Many people look at the pursuit of contentment and satisfaction as just that, a pursuit, not something to ever actually be attained and grasped. Max flushes that concept and provides solid material based on the Word of God that will get you started in the right direction in you genuinely love the Lord and have a desire to take the steps necessary.
About 1.3/4ths of the book, toward the end, is actually a workbook that you can fill out to "find your sweet spot". I'm still filling mine out.
Summary: This book is very well written, and Max is an engaging, wonderful author, with obvious wisdom and an evidently close relationship with God. This book could maybe be a tad more precise or clear in some areas, so I'm going to give it 4 out of 5 stars.
