As always, the book was far better than the movie. The leads seemed like they would have done a fabulous job and in fact I thought the movie looked like it was going to be extremely good but /I have to say the book was way better. Not to mention, the movie was hardly accurate. Anyways...
the book is about a girl and a boy who meet, fall in love, etc etc. Fairly familiar plot but the boy is in the army and so to keep things interesting, they write letters back and forth to each other. Having met and gotten to spend actual time together for about a week, it's surprising that they could keep such a long relationship but if they can do it, which I'm sure people in real life have done it too more power to you. It's a cute story which I'm sure is geared more towards the female audience based off of the plot. It has a tad of a Romeo and Juliet twist at the end not to give anything away but the author has good flow and over all I liked the book. I personal was emotionally attached the whole way through the book and felt like I could personally relate the whole way through and I'm sure you will too :)
I would recommend reading the book then watching the movie, but don't go into the movie with very high expectations :)
