At 250 lbs I was 100 lbs overweight, and starting to have some health problems. I don't exactly remember why I picked up this book, but I sure am glad I did.
The diet regimen isn't just for fast weight loss, but sustenance as well. In the first 150 pages, Fuhrman takes the time to elaborate whats wrong with the standard American diet, how it relates to your weight, health, and degenerative illness. He then carries on to explain the importance of a vegetable based diet and how anyone can turn their health around for the better with a few changes.
I myself had lost 100 lbs in 10 months following the Eat To Live diet plan, and have managed to keep it off. I suffered from occasional heartburn which is now gone as well. My skin has never been clearer, and I sleep great.
If you have ANY health problem, not just overweight, this book belongs on your shelf. Even if you are simply interested in a vegetarian diet, or want a short book full of health info, you better grab a copy fast!
