Supposedly this book was based on a real diary of one of the author's patients, but that remains unconfirmed. The story follows the diary of a nameless young girl and her journey experimenting with drugs. It only took me a day to read, since it's both short and very interesting. The diary format works well in that it really allows you to enter the world of the narrator in a way that is difficult to do in other formats.       I think every young teenager should read …

I was given this book by my mother; an original copy that she had from the 70's. I'm more of a modern reader, so I was hesitant.  There is no other way to put it, except for that the book completely sucked me in. I read this book when i was a teenager in high school and a lot of the stuff written in the book i can relate to because of where i was in life at the time. That was one of the main reasons it was such a good read, and i am sure many others teenagers like me will find this book a great read as well …

It claims to be a true story (and isn't) but even if it was, it is still a very badly written book.
