A book by Dr. Seuss that was first published in 1960.
< read all 119 reviews I remember when I was first introduced to Dr. Seuss (hey, that rhymed) I was in kindergarten and as a class we would go to the school library and we would sit in the reading circle and our teacher would read Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish, Two Fish, and The Cat in the Hat. At the time, and still today Green Eggs and Ham is my favorite.
Filled with colorful pictures and fun rhymes it's a wonderful book to get children interested in learning to read. Even now, 25 years later, if I don't like something I catch myself thinking, 'I do not like that Sam I am, I do not like Green Eggs and Ham'
When I had my son, 13 years ago, I ordered the entire Dr. Seuss collection and I would read him to sleep always starting with this book. Now, when we are bored or just feeling silly, we can sit and recite the entire thing back and forth to each other.
I highly recommend this classic to small children or people who love to read to children.
