It can be difficult to remember how precious and quick even the most trying moments are when you are experiencing them. As a mother of an active and challenging young boy, I can attest to how easy it can be to lose sight of the big picture and give in to feeling frustrated. It is easy to remember how insignificant even the most harrowing tantrums are when I read this book and I know that one day, I will wish that my son was the Kindergartner who leaves his playroom a mess, instead of the adult who is away at college or perhaps in a location far from where I am trying to build a life with his own family and friends. This book reminds me that you just can not get the time back. You must treasure at each phase of life. I also like that the book is built around a mother-son relationship, which I believe is a unique and special bond and has a huge impact on how an adult male goes on to treat women in his life. This book is worth purchasing and keeping for years.
