Finished this up on a trip to Hong Kong. Couldn't put it down. Love the author's ability to look back on his not-so-savory life and laugh.

Memoirs can often be boring, dull, and slow. Some have sporadic scenes of excitement that punctuate their dullness here and there. But Augusten Burroughs's Running With Scissors is the exact opposite of everything I described above.     Burroughs hits the ground running in his memoir of his childhood and the disfunctional lifestyle it entailed.
