A little bit Victorian gothic, a little bit of steampunk. What's not to love! Alexis and quick tongue are a sure fire hit. I love this author.

Tea Time, Vampires and Werewolves... Oh My!
My favorite new author is Gail Carriger. Her first book, released 10/2009 was I admit an impulse purchase. "Soulless" (The Parasol Protectorate series) with it's Victorian Gothic cover grabbed my eye as I walked by a display of new paperbacks. I read the back blurb, and I read a random page and made a mental note of the author with the idea to purchase it another time.
