Pros: Recipies for the best pizza!

Cons: A bit pricey

Wow - I just picked up my own copy of the California Pizza Kitchen cookbook and I'm psyched about trying it out. I've been a major fan of CPK and visit the restaurant frequently when I'm in Atlanta. I just love their food, not only their pizza although that's their strong point.

If you've never been to a CPK, you're missing a real taste treat. The pizza's are all gourmet and not the standard fare. There are goat's cheese pizza, asparagus pizza, chicken terriyaki pizza and many many others. The salads and soups are wonderful as well. In fact, the main reason I bought this book was to duplicate the Potato Leek soup which is marvelous.

The book starts out with a brief bio of the beginnings of CPK which was of no interest to me. Get me to the recipies! Then it launches into making the dough for their pizza's. The next section covers the pizza recipes with color glossy photographs. There's a section for veggie pizza's as well. The last section is their recipies for their salads, both pasta and leafy and their soups! Yum!

The book was a bit pricey but I was determined to know the secrets!
