This is a timeless story of a boy who runs away to New York to find himself and purpose among the people living in New York. Other than being a famous book for being in possession of a cetain man while he assissantaed a famous singer, you get to know the observations and thoughts of one Holden Caufileld ad he wanders the streets of New York. One of the most interesting scenes is when he hires a prostitute and attempts to just have her be there with him to just "talk". You see the character in different situations and at the same time uses his isolation to show that he is better than everyone else but also shows this lonely side and trying to be accepted.
As I read this book my emotional reaction was that this kid was spoiled and was in search of himself. He becomes alienated and is looking for somewhere to belong or where his place in this world. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to relate to anyone is in searchg of or realtes to soul searching and finding one self.
