80's decadance at its best

My reaction to The Dirt was that of shock, awe, and appreciation for those that rocked and survived from the 80's

I would recommend this book to anyone who liked to read about those who rocked.

The story follows Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars on their rise to fame, and the scandals and trials they go thru after that rise.

The purpose of the book was to get Motley Crue's perspective of their lives.

The Dirt was very well written, following the 4 as they grow up, learn their trade, and then meet up to form what was one of the biggest names in rock.

It goes into detail about Vince Neil's famous DUI accident, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson's marriage, and Nikki Sixx's two heroin overdoses.
