Contrary to what I have heard other people say about The Last of the Mohicans, this book is not a difficult read, nor is it dull. I found it to be a great balance of dialogue and narration. While it is different from what we, as modern readers, are used to, it is not so foreign as to make it unreadable. After reading a string of lame books, it was refreshing to read something that is actually intelligently written. As for the story--well, let me just say that at times I found myself reading with …
