Great book to gift

This book has given me a lot of clarity. I give this book as a gift a lot, especially when I see people going through tough times or if they have just achieved a lifetime milestone.

I love the tone of the book. It's very understated. The language is a bit formal and flowery, but the ideas flowed out for me very easily and resonated with how I think.

Reading this also helped me in my writing because it gave me a new language to think in and also the flow of words are very inspiring at both a cognitive and subtly emotional level.

My favorite is "Of Passion and Reason".

I first encountered this book in 1963. It became a must read for all hippies. Many had passages from it read at their weddings. Its a wonderful book.

Not Gibran's best work (check out Tears and Laughter; Spirit's Rebellious) but still a 4 at least. What a writer. Poetry between the lines. Elegance and beauty in prose. Super rad!!!
