Who is to Deny it Isn't Real?

With J.K.Rowlings brilliantly crafted world of Harry Potter, she brings you yet another lovely add on to the series. "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" is a collection of five short stories much like you'd read as some of our classics such as Cinderella or Rumplestiltskin. These stories are so well crafted, you can't help but realize all of the aspects that make these stories seem so 'ordinary' to fans. The use of a wand, and a 'hopping pot' is seemingly an every day possiblity in the world.

The illustrations can't be ignored, and the short stories are one of a kind. You won't be finding a collection like this in all of history's vast collection of books. It's a must-read for fans. It's a must read for those who have not even laid eyes upon the Harry Potter series.

My favorite short story in the series, I would have to say is 'the hopping pot', though every story is worth mentioning. For older children, these short stories make great bed time stories.

One of the best parts is the fact that you can find a moral to every single one of those five short stories. And to be able to hold those mentioned titles in your hands while re-reading the Harry Potter series is a gift in its self. As I said before, I recommend this book to everyone.

This book contains five J. K. Rowling tales, ostensibly composed by the fifteenth century wizard Beedle, “written for young wizards and witches,” which Rowling assures us are very popular in Hogwarts, the land of Harry Potter. Each tale is followed by a commentary by Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Dumbledore speaks his mind, offers his explanation of the tale, …

I was very disappointed in this book. I thought it would have something to do with Harry Potter and it didn't.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard
The loveable Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of the Hogwarts school and Harry Potter's mentor and commentator featured in these pages, lives on in this slim collection of five fairy tales. Told from the wizard's perspective, it's a fresh look at some familiar and not-so-familiar fables, and the sharp wit of J.K. Rowling make it a delightful read. The black and white illustrations aren't that great, but as with all of the Potter stories, one doesn't buy this book for anything more than the transport …

About this book

The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a book of children's stories written by British author J.K. Rowling. This wizard classic book of five fairy tales was originally a fictional book in the last installment of the Harry Potter series. The tales include "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot," "The Fountain of Fair Fortune," "The Warlock's Hairy Heart," "Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump," and of course, "The Tale of the Three Brothers." This special book was illustrated by Rowling herself, embellished with silver ornaments and mounted moonstones.
