A book by Dave Ramsey
< read all 9 reviewsI am so tired of counseling people who ask me questions such as "how do I finance this car?" or "should I refinance my mortgage so I can have more money each month?" Debt is a bad deal. All of it. And you can live life without it if you are willing to not be as flashy as your debt ridden neighbors for a season as you put yourself on financial track. These are the core principles of Dave Ramsey...using common sense combined with patience resulting in good cash accumulation and a good future. He stresses living life within your means and increasing your income not increasing your debt. Having an emergency fund, paying off debts from the smallest to the greatest, and then more practical steps to financial soundness. He's no nonsense, kind of brutal with the truth, but very sensible and very needed news and advice in this economy. He also gives lots of examples from real people who have put his principles into practice and reaped a good financial status as a result. I recommend all books by Dave Ramsey including the money makeover workbook. You can also get his podcasts.
