This is a very weak attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the Toy Story 3 movie.
The doll that comes with the book is very cheaply made, and is on the order of something you would find in a kid's meal at a fast food restaurant. The magnets in his hands are so weak that it is hard to get him to stick. Couple that with the fact that you have to take the single magnetic flap in the back of the book and put it behind each page as you read it, and this becomes an exercise in frustration.
My six year old couldn't do it without help, and even after I helped her it didn't work well enough to hold her interest. She carried the doll around for a day or two, then lost interest completely.
This is too much money for something that isn't going to hold a child's interest for more than a day or two.
I love the Toy Story series so I was excited to get this for me and my kids. It tells the story of the third movie with lots of colorful pages. I love the magnetic Woody, too. It was a little confusing for my 4 year old to figure out you have to flip the magnetic page behind the current page you're reading for him to stick, so I took a star for that. But the story is great and the idea is good. She loves her magnetic Woody and I always find him hanging around the house on different metals, lol.
Funny as a stand-up comic, and twice as moody. Highly encouraged by the use of the "review was helpful" button, this denizen of dark computer labs has a propensity toward wire, wildly creative thought, … more

This innovative book literally letsToy Storyfans “stick” with Woody the cowboy in a delightfully entertaining and interactive way. This Storybook and Magnetic Buddy features a fabric Woody doll that has magnets embedded in his hands, as well as a magnetic gatefold that tucks behind each page to enable kids to attach the Woody doll to each scene and play out the story action. Kids can also carry Woody with them everywhere they go.
