The words pierced his heart

This is  a follow up to the captivating masterpiece "Burned" which featured investigative crime reporter Henning Jull who is still dealing the with death of his six-year-old son and wants to find his son's killer.

Juul gets a call in his office in Norway. The caller, Tore Pulli, is in jail for murder and tells Juul he was framed. If Juul will get Pulli out of jail, he'll tell Jull what he knows about the fire that killed his son.

As we follow Juul's investigation, there is a side story about a TV cameraman being manipulated by a criminal. The man's girlfriend has been interviewed by a so called reporter and was asked, how far would she go to save her family.

I became enthralled with the story immediately and like most readers, put aside other things so I could find out what was going on with the plot. With the story in Norway and with an investigative crime reporter, there are similarities to Steig Larsson's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

The author is a craftsman and among his talents seen in this book is the well framed dialogue, the good descriptions and a conclusion that is excellent.
