Right or wrong, I'll be with you.

  • May 29, 2012
When a homeless veteran of Iraq is accused of murder, his aunt hires attorney Jason Kolarich to defend him.

In this cleverly woven plot, Kolarich has to work out a defense for a man suffering from PTSD and won't say anything in his own defense.

At the same time, a man approached Jason and asked for a meeting. He told Jason that  he might be arrested for a crime and wanted to know if Jason could help him make a deal. He told Jason he had the name of a contract killer hired by the mob.  Nothing seems to come from this at the time but Jason does meet a young woman at the bar where the meeting took place and there seemed room for future developments.

A secondary story develops with a number of military looking men buying fertilizer and other ingredients that could be perfectly legal or could also be used illegally with major consequences.

We feel for the unfortunate war hero and follow the investigation as we hope for a solution.

This is a taut legal thriller with a unique premise that must be accepted for the novel to work.

Kolarich has a keen intuition and his staff and female companion totally believe him and follow his lead.

Besides the question on the believably of the plot, the story was enjoyable. With mounting suspense and a pace that built up as the case neared trial and other events drew to a possible conclusion.

Kolarich is a good hero who shows what one man can do against a powerful corporation and a narrow minded legal system.
Right or wrong, I'll be with you.
