When you have a kid, you want to capture every moment of their life as they are growing up, since they grow up so fast and you just want to remember each and every minute of it. We took a lot of pictures of our son whenever we had the chance, but sometimes it's difficult to get a good shot, as he is constantly moving around and will make faces at you, so sometimes it's good to have professional help. As he is growing up, we took him to several different photographers specializing in taking pictures of kids, and we found them either not take very good pictures (and not that cheap either), or they take great pictures, but are extremely pricey. Until we found The Picture People, they took great pictures whole remaining competitive in pricing.
The one we went to was located inside the Westfield Mall in Arcadia. we went in with our friend for her sons’ 9 months photo and we ended up taking some very memorable photos for my 3-year-old. Because we went in the mid-afternoon on a weekday, Picture People was be able to accommodate my walk-in appointment. The photographer assigned to me was very patient and absolutely wonderful with kids. The Session lasted about half an hour, and the photographer was laying down on her stomach most of time to capture the the special moments and she clicked with my son right away. Usually Picture People asked parents to prepare their own clothes and props to be used during the photo session; however, they do have some props ready for the holiday (gift boxes, pine trees, candy canes…etc.).
It’s little bit crowded by the time we were picking the pictures, but considering it's 3 weeks before the holiday and EVERYONE want to get their holiday cards done on time, it's not that bad. They have big computer monitor for us to look at the photos we just took, and people are there to work with us for some special enhancements. The print out was clean and sharp, and I especially like the photo products they carried… I usually order the cut-out portrait sculptures/ magnets, the color would not fade away and are very good gifts for grand-parents.
