Microsoft will be ending its upgrade promotion on January 31, 2013. Under the current promotion, it costs only US$39.99 to upgrade your existing Windows installation to Windows 8. According to a blog post on the official Windows blog, the basic Windows 8 upgrade edition will retail for US$119.99, while the Windows 8 Pro upgrade edition will cost US$199.99.
