About this topic

The 2010 edition of the Daytona 500, which will be the fifty-second running of "The Great American Race", kicks off the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on February 14 of that year at the 2.5 miles (4.0 km) Daytona International Speedway  in Daytona Beach, Florida. Fox  is scheduled to televise the race while radio coverage will be handled by Sirius XM Radio via satellite radio and over-the-air on MRN Radio in the USA. One change in this year's schedule will find pole qualifying being held one day earlier, on February 6 due to the fact that Super Bowl XLIV will be held the following day.

The race will start at 1 PM to comply with the new 1 / 3 / 7:30 rule for race starts during the new season.
