60 Seconds To "WOW"-Easy to Master Skills That Move Your Audience and Build Your Career by Scott H. Lewis is designed to improve upon presentation skills before audiences both large and small. Overcoming the fear associated with making presentations is done by preparing thoroughly and simplifying the delivery.

The chief concern for many people in the audience is "What's in it for me?". Presenters should get to
the self-interest part of the presentation as soon as possible in order to hold the attention of the audience.

Lewis explains how to deliver material to an audience. He believes that power point presentations tend to involve the audience in too much detail instead of keeping the audience focused on the presenter.

The author encourages presenters to stand and keep moving so that the audience gets more involved in the process. Arms should be loose. Presenters shouldn't keep their hands in their pockets jangling change or grab the lectern nervously.

The book explains the perils of using humor when it is out of place. Humor should be used when the
joke is truly funny, it doesn't offend, the content is delivered well and it is relevant to the topic.

Most importantly, the author explains the importance of inspiring the audience to take action. Failing to call for action is like viewing a high suspense thriller with no conclusion.

60 Seconds To "WOW"- Easy to Master Skills That Move Your Audience and Build Your Career by Scott H. Lewis is an important book on the art of making good presentations. A strength of the book is that the author explains how to capture and hold the attention of the audience. Another advantage is that the book is brief and well written with occasional anecdotes peppered throughout.
