Resolution of Life's Dilemmas

Posing Life's Most Difficult Choices

  • Feb 6, 2014
Rating:
+4
Mikhail does a splendid job of taking up the age old dilemma
which is whether or not young couples should split up entirely
or just go out with other people before making a long term
commitment. The characters of Florian and Oblina face such
a dilemma.

Their arguments reach a crescendo in a local bar; whereupon,
the management requests that they leave. Florian throws down
a hefty $200. for drinks and exits after a very intense lovers' exchange
over the strains in this rocky relationship. Colloquialisms abound
as do occasional profanities. This is part of the spice in the book.

The presentation is written in a folksy "belles lettres" style with the
major scenes building up to a crescendo of human emotion and
empathy for the couple. The author addresses the timeless
stresses which beset couples, as well as the need for "space"
to sort out emotions and go out with other people before making
a final life-long commitment.

This is only one of the major themes in the book. There are others;
such as, the need to follow one's dreams. After all, conformity alone
is not the be all and end all in life. The presentation will appeal
to the young and old with important lessons to learn in the ever
evolving panorama of life's experiences together with lessons learned,
roads not taken and challenges yet to be presented. Readers, you
have fun! Da or "да" !
