Making Photography Four Times the Fun!

This camera has to be one of my top three favorite Lomo cameras.  It has such a cool concept!  It is a plastic camera with four built-in lenses that capture sequential photos within each frame, resulting in a Andy Warhol-esque photo.

Unlike its predecessor, the Actionsampler, the Actionsampler Flash has an increased lens quality, sharpness and faster shutter release.    The shutter release on this camera exposes a quarter of the image each 1/4 of a second.

Like Lomo's Fisheye Camera, the look of it makes it look like a child's toy.  It uses all sorts of 35mm film, inlcuding black and white, negative and slide films, all of which can be developed in your neighborhood supermarket, drug store, or any other 35mm photo lab.  I reccomend experimenting with different kinds of film in addition to using the camera's flash because you'll always get different outcomes.  With the use of the flash and slide film, the results from taking pictures at night can turn out absolutely amazing!

Lomo's main motto is "Don't Think, Just Shoot."  The Actionsampler Flash, along with its predecessor, doesn't actually have a place where you can look and take the picture.  It may seem like an inconvenience, but trust me, the results from not knowing where to point the camera makes it so much better.

You can get this camera at the online Lomo shop for about $60.  I actually got it for about $40 from an eBay seller.  I suggest you look around online first for a better deal.

I love this camera because most of the time the results I get from using it turns out to be freaking hilarious.  When my friend makes a funny face, you can actually see how he changes his expression in each frame of a picture.  My friends and I especially love the jumping poses because we can see how ridiculous we look while preparing to launch ourselves up into the air.  It's a great camera to have because you'll have a blast using it.
