A Quick Tip by Madpenguin

You know, after some thought these are actually the smartest people on the planet. If you try and convince them a higher power does or does not exist they are going to respond with the simplest of replies.... Prove it.

You just can't beat that. These people are clearly not brainwashed by either community.

Thanks for posting this one, Frank. I've considered myself an atheist for 11 years, but after you brought this up, I'm starting to think that I'm more or less an agnostic leaning towards atheism as well. If any proof of any god's existance surfaces, then I'll change my tune on religion, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I been an atheist for something like 10 years myself. Before then I could have been considered agnostic as well, but what forced me more towards being a full-fledged atheist was just how aggressive believers, Christians to be 100% exact, can actually be. I have met some who are just obnoxious and they can truly push you away from religion in genreal.

I have often heard that Atheist go out of their way to spread their beliefs, but I haven't met one in the last 15 years to do that. However, I have met tons of Christians who refuse to leave you alone about their beliefs. I have seen several friendships ruined over this because they refuse to respect one's beliefs on there not being a higher power. These people being a total annoyance is what swayed me more towards being an atheist. Then I sat down and thought about this last week, and I'm not going to let a few random fanatics influence my true feelings and force me to hate an entire community and their beliefs as if they're all the same. Therefore, I see myself atheist at the very least, and agnostic at best.

people have said that I am odd, maybe agnostic, someone even said that I may be bipolar, but hey--I am who I am.

I been called far, far worse, plus condemned to hell many times over for my personal beliefs.

Most people seem to think I'm agnostic myself, but I feel like I'm more skeptical than that. On some days, I'm an outright atheist. Maybe I'm just an agnostic with strong atheistic inclinations.

I hear you, my mindset is exactly the same. Although there's no real proof of either side being correct. Personally, due to the arguments I've heard from both sides I'm leaning heavily towards my atheistic beliefs.
