This trade paperback contains the first six issues of the 18 issue Harvey Award nominated comic book series Arsenic Lullaby. Douglas Paszkiewicz's humor is definitely dark, but also very funny, so don't be surprised if you find yourself laughing at something you then quickly realize you shouldn't be. Much of this collection is comprised of ongoing stories (or running gags), my personal favorites being the Census Assassin who goes around killing newborns to ensure that the last Census remains accurate, and Voodoo Joe, a somewhat ineffective voodoo priest working of a curse by helping others take revenge on those who have wronged them. If you're the kind of person to be offended by newborn suicides or aborted fetus zombies, then you might want to keep looking. But if any of the above made you giggle just a little bit, you will not be disappointed.
