Although not one of the best Bonds, I still do like the movie Live and Let Die. But Baron Samedi irritates me so much when watching the film. I just don't like the character and get so tired of his irritating laugh gestures. There are not many good villains in this movie, but of all of them he is my least favorite. I don't find him scary, menacing, or even humorous. The character just irritates me.
If there was ever a more odd or bizzare Bond villain, it was Baron Samedi. I was for the longest time kinda puzzled by this man. He didn't do much or have a major fight scene. He did though have the cool laugh and voice that every time you saw him, made him stand out in a movie with the fat guy who can barely speak, the tall heavy with the metal arm, the redneck sheriff comic relief, a crocodile farm, a big boat chase and Jane Seymour looking young and sexy. … more

Baron Samedi (Baron Saturday, also Baron Samdi,Bawon Samedi, or Bawon Sanmdi) is one of the Loa of Haitian Vodou. Samedi is a Loa of the dead, along with Baron's numerous other incarnations Baron Cimetière, Baron La Croix, and Baron Kriminel. He is the head of the Guédé family of Loa, or an aspect of them, or possibly their spiritual father. 'Samedi' means 'Saturday' in French. His wife is the Loa Maman Brigitte.
