Fast wireless router and easy to set up

I have tried several Linksys products in the past (Routers, extenders, print servers) and we never seem to get along.  In many cases it may just be user error, which is fine, I'll accept that. The most trouble I have had with any tech gadgets has always been with Linksys. If Linksys made a pencil, i'm willing to bet it wouldn't work for me. However based on all the feedback the Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router has received I figured I should give them another shot. End result, another case of user error if you will. Rather than going through the hassle of dealing with customer service I decided to return the router and shop around for another brand.

The Belkin Wireless N+ 802.11n Router looked like a perfect fit, although priced slightly higher than the Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router the extra $30 has proven to be worth it.

  • It runs on the N network making it faster than any wireless G router
  • It is backwards compatible with all Wireless-G and 802.11b networks and devices
  • It has USB connection for storage units
  • Fast efficient setup wizard (practically plug-n-play)
  • Well organized web interface for advanced configurations
  • It looks great (although how often does, "Hey check out my new router" come up in conversation)
  • Great range

  • It has Antennas
  • Price tag, low end for N routers but more costly then the top line G routers
