An electronics store chain

Not as fun as you'd think

Seems like a place anyone would enjoy, really. Cool gadgets and electronics, excellent selection of music and movies... There are 500 blue-clad sales people at each location just waiting to help you. I inadvertently made a salesperson spend half an hour scouring the store for the first season of The Wire and when he finally unearthed it from behind twelve copies of Entourage, he smilingly handed it to me and said it was no problem at all. That is some dedicated customer service.

So what's the problem?

Maybe it's just me but Best Buy seems to lack a certain something that makes a store sparkle and customers just can't help but to go in. Take the Apple Store...they're kind of in the same market and actually Best Buy has way more to offer. But if I had to choose, I'd pretty much go hang out in the Apple Store over Best Buy every time. It's just more FUN.

Best Buy just doesn't quite hit the mark when it comes to the sleek, sexy appeal of electronic stores. I'm always satisfied shopping at Best Buy, but it isn't a place I'd rave about to my friends and family, telling them every chance I get that they have to check this place out. The substance is there, just slightly dull and in need of a little polish.  Who knows? Maybe a revamping will change my mind.

Best Buy is a good electronics store because they have reasonable prices and good services.       Their credit cards have good payment plans if you spend an X amount of money, in which if you reach that quota, you're eligible for an 18 month interest free payment plan.  This has helped me get a PS3 Slim 120 GB console and some games, and recently, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 inch tablet and a 3 TB Western Digital MyBook hard drive.      …

Not at all impressed with its service. Some products are slightly cheaper than Future Shops while others are a LOT more expensive!!!
