I’m going to start by saying that Susan Beth Pfeffer is the author of Life as we know it, which I liked; that is why I picked Blood wounds. 

Unfortunately, I abandoned the book due to the lack of suspense. This is not a thriller although is tagged as such. This book is a family drama about a girl (Willa) who lives a perfect suburban life until the day she finds out that her father is a murderer and has set out for her and her mother.
