Boris Grishenko - bringing humor and menace to Bond

  • Nov 5, 2011
Rating:
+4
Not one of the best henchmen in the Bond films, but still one that entertains and amuses me.  I liked the characte from the miniute I saw him flipping his pen in his fingers and uttering I am invincible.  You knew then that he was doomed and that crazy pen would be his demise.   Alan Cumming brings to life a fun character yet not one that is over the top in comedic value as so many henchmen were.    Goldeneye is probably the best of the Brosnan Bonds and all of the characters add to its success.   At one time I had the wave of Boris saying I am invincible on my old computer as a sign off message.

I used to like this guy a lot but then realized his wimpy nature and broad character hurt Goldeneye a little bit. Alan Cumming wasn't bad otherwise.
