You Can Cut To The Chase With ease, With These Blades.

One of the most important things that I have learned over the years about owning tools is that you do not necessarily have to own the same name of the tool as the name on the accessories. The same thing remains the same in the case of these jig saw blades from Bosch. I have a Skill jig saw and a Craftsman jig saw and I can use these blades in both of these two jig saws. I was in a quandary about which one to purchase because the stores that I had went to did not have Skill replacement blades. But, upon further searches I found out that these type of blades are universal and will work in just about any portable jig saw tools. I found mine at Home Depot for the low price of only ten dollars.

Description
This set comes complete with ten blades measuring from the longest that is 4 ¾" in length to the shortest blade at 2 ¾" in length. This comes with seven different styles of cutting blades and they include two short clean cut blades, one short thick cut blade, one short medium, two long for speed, One long cut for clean, one long for reverse cut, and two long for a progressive cut. All of these blades have a u-shank at the end that goes inside of the jig saw. They do make the ones with a T-shank also.

Experience
I have used these mainly on wood projects but there have been times that I have needed to use them on some metal jobs. That has not been too often though, these are very simple to install. I have the spring loaded head that uses a spring loaded disc to hold the blades in place but they do have the older models that you will need to use an Allen wrench to remove and install the blades. I love using the extra long blade that way I don't have to worry about making sure that I am going all the way through the object that I am trying to cut through. These are made of a high carbon steel and have lasted me a very long time.

These blade have done an excellent job ripping through the hardest of woods, and when they happen to come across a knot or a nail hidden inside of the wood these blades will just rip right through the wood. The knot may slow you down a little but eventually you will make it through the knot with only the smallest of a slowdown. I have yet to have any of these break on me, but that does not mean you can't break them.

Conclusion
Don't let anyone tell you that you have to use the same brand name of blades, as your brand name on your jig saw. These blades are universal and you will be getting a very dependable jig saw blade.

You will have these for years to come, and the only time that you will need too replace them, is if they break from dropping your saw.
