With the rampant spreading of H1N1 virus, it is crucial and critical that we boost up our own resistance to the pandemic. Increasing number of affected patients have fallen real sick to the mutating virus and where this influenza is concerned, the best and more effective way is to not to contact it to begin with. It's a case of prevention is better than cure.
Having said that, the effervescent tablet I'm taking and referring to is one which I had taken for years. It is not a preventive measure to H1N1 specifically but one which is effective in boostering one's own immunity. And it's also one that taste almost as good as the Diet Coke which I'm drinking for water. It's actually a more healthy choice should you be one of those few who doesn't drink water because you don't like its taste (well, it's suppose to be tasteless; for me it's bland and there isn't much incentive for me to take it!). Fact is I'm not very health conscioius! ;-)
On the other hand, I like to travel and with the H1N1 virus around, it somewhat hampers travel (don't believe all those nonsense the airlines are telling you about being safe to travel in the air! I suppose it's not lethal but it will definitely create a lot of inconveniences should you be quarantined in a foreign country, not to mention a waste of time, financial resources and your sense of happiness!). So, one's self defence would be to be well prepared for it, ie. to boost up your resistance and to wear nano mask while on the plane!!!
Ca-C 1000 Sandoz (Calcium-Sandoz + Vitamin C 1000 mg) effervescent tablets come in a tube of 10 tablets. It costs less than US$5 and all you've to do is drink a glass (dissolved it in water) every day. It has an orange flavor to it and makes my water very much drinkable. Originally manufactured as a form of dietary supplement to combat calcium inadequacy during childhood and adolescence, pregnancy, postmenopausal females & in the aged. For more specialised usage, look up RxMed.
So, there you have it, something that's pleasant to drink, affordable and do wonders for your body system! The best of it all is that instead of swallowing pills (which I hate!), this is very much like Pokari, Ribena or even lime juice!
Redoxon is a similar product but instead of calcium, it is coupled with zinc. I don't like Redoxon much as it is very sweet. (As far as I know, Novartis Ca-C 1000 does not contain aspartame or if it is it's not indicated in the package). It is also more pricey where I'm at.
