One of the ages best satuirist takes take out to pen a picture book for his kids about cats. well done, truly enjoyable. no plot.

Published by Viking Kestrel in 1995, this poetic book for ages 4-8 is based on one of Garrison Keillor's popular folk songs.  It is Illustrated with painting by Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher.  The author is best known for his public radio sensation "A Prairie Home Companion."
