In my line of work I can find myself sitting at a desk strumming through paper work or out on a job installing equipment. This leads to a big uncertianty when it comes to lunch, since I can't always plan my day around whether I'll be in the office or in the field.
For this reason, I often keep a few handy micorwaveable meals handy so that I can just nuke'em if I get hungry and don't have to go out to eat lunch or prepare something every morning to bring with me to work. I've experimented with quite a few brands of mac & cheese and I have to admit that Chef Boyardee's Mac & Cheese has bested them all so far.
Preparation is fast and easy. There's no need to add water or cheese sauce. Simply pry off the metal lid, cover the container with the plastic lid, and nuke it for about a minute and a half. I tend to nuke mine a few seconds longer, but this is probably because the microwave at work isn't the best machine on the market.
Let the noodles stand for a minute after they've been cooked and you've got yourself a pretty decent quick meal. The noodles are big and soft and the cheese, although not super cheesy tasting, does have a nice flavor. These noodles are especially good to chow down on when it is cold outside, as the hold their heat quite well.
The mac & cheese that I usually nuke comes in a 14.25 oz container and has about 370 calories in it.
If you need a decent meal that's better than most of the "zap and chow" types of noodles and soups on the market, Chef Boyardee's Mac & Cheese is a pretty good choice.
