Talk About A Blow Hard, and No More Tangled cords.

A while back we purchased a cheap blow dryer and now we are regretting that purchase. We suddenly were in the need for a new dryer so we figured that why not just go to Walgreens to get one instead of running all around shopping for the best deal that we could find. Turns out that Walgreens had a pretty good deal and one of the perfect hair dryers that we were looking for. This model is the Conair cord keeper model 169PL for only $20.00. This is an excellent model because of the extra feature that this model can be used overseas by just flipping a switch from 125 to 250, it is located on the left side of the handle. No converter will be needed to use this overseas just an adapter.

Description
This Conair cord keeper will end all of your tangled up power cords and it also has 1875 watts of power. This only weighs 1pound 6 ounces and the handle will tuck up neatly away when not in use, you will not have to push any switch to get the handle to tuck away just push it up in place and it will stay. The same will work for opening it up, just a simple tug and it will open up and stay that way until you are finished.  The handle is 5" in length and there will only be 5" of the cord left hanging out when not in use. No more wrapping the cord around the handle and having it come undone. There is a switch located on the handle that will allow you to switch to the high or low or off positions, this also has a blue cool button which allows you to temporarily cool the air, if the air gets too hot to handle. This cool shot of air really helps out especially if you are using it to dry a child's hair or your pets hair. The cord will retract inside of this unit with just the press of a button. On the power cord end there is a red test and blue reset button just in-case you are having any trouble with the electricity. Even though the box shows a dryer that looks like it is purple in color, but it is a very dark purple in color. The end where the air comes out has a 2 ¼" opening for sufficient air flow to dry anyone's hair. This also has vents on the rear and on both sides to allow for sufficient air intake, so that the dryer does not over heat.

Experience
We use this for all types of drying hair, these include styling, straightening, and even making waves in our daughters hair. The technology that this has helps so that the dryer will prevent any flyaway and frizzy, static electricity to your hair. This technology produces negative charged ions that when you have long hair you do not have to worry about any static electricity. Our daughter has very long hair and when we have to help dry her hair it usually has a lot of static, but not with this dryer.

When I use this on my pets I have to keep this set on low because of the high temp that this puts out. The noise that this puts out seems to bother them the most. It is just as loud as any other dryer the you have used in the past. As far as I know there is not a quiet one on the market today. If there was I would probably purchase one of those to do my dogs.  The really nice feature that this has is the retractable cord, for all of the other ones that we have owned in the past it has been a real pain trying to keep the cord neat and tidy whenever you have this in storage. By having this cord retracting inside there is less of a chance that the cord will get a kink in it and the wires breaking.

Warranty
This has a two year limited warranty, but I very rarely have any problems that happen before that time.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend that if you have an extra twenty dollars around go to Walgreens and purchase one of these. You will be ecstatic after the first use, to no have to deal a tangled up cord. Plus, no static electricity to deal with. Five stars for this dryer.
