Good for games, but not great in other areas

  • Aug 30, 2010
  • by
1. Better handling when playing games, especially driving games.
2. Easy availability of AA batteries when you can't stop to charge.
3. Protection from accidental tumbles.
4. Stands on its side for watching movies
5. Longer game play with trickle charge

1. Batteries are inconveniently positioned, as you have to remove the iPod from the game case to replace them.
2. Doing the above leads to tons of fingerprints on the screen.
3. The battery cover feels flimsy, and is a bit of a pain to open.
4. The docking connector looks likely to break off if handled roughly.
5. Difficult to insert iPod properly.
6. Too bulky for anything else but game playing.

Recommended for gaming with your iPod, keeping in mind that the gains in portability from the AA batteries are somewhat offset by the bulkiness of the unit.

I received the DLO GameCase and immediately tried it out. It really gives you a much more comfortable grip when playing landscape view games. It also makes it much easier for my kids to play games with their smaller hands.    Upon using the supplied batteries we did not seem to get any added life to the ITouch. We ran it down completely and then installed new batteries and there was a noticeable difference in game time. Maybe the batteries that came with the case were dead?   &nbs …

I have very mixed feelings about this case. My one major problem is that it runs on two AA batteries instead of recharging. I use my IPod Touch a lot and I would probably go through a set of batteries once every day. I just don't see any point in spending about a buck a day for disposable batteries when there are so many other similar style cases that you can recharge for only a couple penny's a day. The only advantage that I can think of is if you are on the road and unable to recharge it then …

When I first got my iPod Touch the very first thing I did was download some games for the kids. Most of these games were simple "point and click" affairs and the iPod Touch seems to be designed really well for this. My husband, however, added a few titles of his own. Namely some first-person shooters after hearing how great the graphics could be on the Touch.    The graphics did look great! There was only one problem, the games were basically unplayable due to the slimness of …

The DLO Game Case Boost for the iPod Touch is made of a silicone rubber that feels soft and allows you to have a firm grip on your iPod Touch. Great for playing games, especially for long trips. The ergonomic design uses less stress on your knuckles since your hands are more relax and not clutching the iPod. I actually like the idea that it uses AA batteries since sometimes I am not always in a location where I have access to a wall outlet to charge it. This is more of a convenient alternative to …
