The basic physical description of this net book is a lot smaller than a regular laptop. This only weighs a little less than three pounds and has a 5" x 8 ¾" viewing screen. The overall dimensions of this net book is 10.5" side to side x 8" from front to back x at the thickest point it is 1 ¼" tall. This is a high glossy black in color on the top and a black bottom half. The Dell insignia is stamped into the top of the net book. On the right side of this net book there is four different connectors and these consist of a Ethernet connector, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, and a USB connector which allows you to connect to any external devices. On the left side there four other connectors and these are: a VGA connector which allows you to connect to another monitor or projector, two USB 2.0 connectors, an antenna in connector, and the last one is a 3-in-1 media card reader (SD/MS/MMC).
On the back of your net book, you will see a security cable slot and an AC adapter connector. When you open this up you will see a normal keyboard and an on/off button in the upper left side. At the center bottom there is a touch pad with right and left touch pad buttons. At the lower left side you will also see to lights that when powered up the will light up and tell you the battery life and the hard drive activity light.
