Not for the tossing impaired

I just got back from playing disc golf for the first time, and I felt I should share my experience. While it was refreshing to get out of the house and onto the green, I don't know if this sport is for me.

The object here is to toss the disc into the basket with as few throws as possible. Simple, right? Except for the throwing part. I've discovered I have issues; I can't throw the disc straight on for the life of me. To the right, to the left, to the trees (at least there was no water hazard!) And some of the "holes" were super far away and tricky to maneuver, especially for a non-maneuverer like me.

But this is a fun, inexpensive option to get out and about, and I hear Austin has some exceptional courses. Maybe there's no help for me, or maybe practice makes perfect, but for now I think I'll stick to the real thing: whacking a small ball with a small stick into a small hole.

I have been frustrated by this game as well...especially when playing with much better disc throwers. It is a good excuse to get outdoors and walk around though.
