Yeah, I know it seems like a "dick move" to totally smash a whole genre of music, but there isn't a single emo song, let alone emo band, that I can say I actually like. 

The whole idea of the genre makes me sick, since when you get down to it, the basis for emo music is to heavily castrate punk rock and add in whiny singing about failed relationships.  Now I can understand this a little if the musicians writing and playing this music are still in high school, but there's plenty of emo musicians in their 20's and older and STILL making songs about this drivel.  Grow the fuck up and make music about more mature subject matter.

Now if you excuse me, I'll go listen to Black Flag's "Damaged," a real punk rock album about pain and anguish that actually has testosterone in it.
