Evite.com is so easy and logical. There are multiple reasons why this is my go-to for party and event invitations.
Cost: Evite is free! It doesn’t cost a thing! You can save a hefty sum of money by avoiding printed invitations and stamps.
Time: The labor involved in sending regular invites (going to the store or printing invitations, folding, licking, addressing, putting on stamps and mailing) doesn’t exist. Evite is all virtual, so you press send and your guests receive the invitation immediately. Unlike mail, these invitations can’t get lost. Some may “bounce”, but you instantly receive email notification if an email address doesn’t go through.
Environmentally friendly: No paper means no waste.
Party Planning Calculations: You can track who has opened your email and when, you can monitor who’s coming, who’s not, and who is undecided. Guests can post fun comments, responses and ideas to the evite, which can build hype for an event. Guests can also forward the evite to other friends, adding them to the guest list. This is helpful especially if you don’t have everyone’s email.
Design Options: Evite has hundreds of themes and designs to choose from. If you are having a bachelor party, a girl’s night out, or a New Year’s Eve bash, Evite has created designs for each possibility. They also make it easy to create your own layout and themed invitation. For ex: I just sent an evite out for a jewelry trunk show party that my boutique is hosting. I couldn’t really use a pre-set theme design, so I created my own. The process was simple…I choose colors that matched the brand of the shop. Uploaded photos I had taken of the jewelry and enter in my own personal message.
Reminders: The site will re-send event reminders to all guests two days before the event (or to your specification). It is a great way to give guest a heads up and encourage them to RSVP if they haven’t already.
