Ok, so the Kings have traded Frolov for Ponikarovsky...was it a great deal? Hard to say. Unfortunately it's the only thing that the kings have done this summer, in that respect. B.O.R.I.N.G. That said, Frolov may have been a bit too laid back. Even though "Poni" doesn't have as much skill, if he brings that passion, maybe it was a good trade. I give it a "1"

Kings sign Alexei Ponikarovsky to replace Alexander Frolov The free-agent left wing, who has scored at least 20 goals in four of last five seasons, signs for one year and $3 million, plus a $200,000 bonus. The 30-year-old, who had 21 goals with Toronto and Pittsburgh last season, takes the spot of Frolov, who signed with Rangers.
