Ryan, although I think your passion for the U.S. squad is on point, this is an issue that is rampant in International Soccer and has been for a longer than you or I have been alive.       Players are born in one country and play in another all the time. He was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, in the United States, and has dual American and Italian citizenship; he made his debut for Italy in October 2008, scoring his first international goal in June 2009.
