Sure, the hipsters like this place, but so do regular folks. It's a treat for all the senses. The drinks are fantastic (try the Pearls of Wisdom or the Fists Of Fury), the menu is extensive, and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable in a strangely un-Hollywood way (Rodney is a particular gem, in this reviewer's opinion). The wallpaper is red with black-flocked chinoiserie; red lanterns hang down all over the place. And the jukebox is fantastic. Valet parking Friday and Saturday nights in the adjacent lot, or you can just park on the street. For whatever reason, this small slice of neighborhood is rarely overcrowded.

Located near the intersection of Hollywood and Hillhurst, Good Luck Bar is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it establishment set in a modest building, with just a lone neon sign to signal its presence. Inside, the over-the-top Chinese kitsch decor spills over into their specialty drinks -- Fists of Fury, anyone?
But the extensive liquor cabinet will serve up anything you're craving, and seating options range from booths to low-slung cushioned seats around old trunks, to your straight-up, hey-bartender seat around the long, oval bar.
