A reasonably nice airport with easy access to the city of Haikou in Hainan Island. If you're arriving internationally, chances are you're flying budget airlines from Singapore and Malaysia.

Haikou Meilan International Airport (IATA: HAK, ICAO: ZJHK[1]) (occasionally but incorrectly listed as ZGHK) (simplified Chinese: 海口美兰国际机场; traditional Chinese: 海口美蘭國際機場; pinyin: Hǎikǒu Měilán Guójì Jīchǎng) is the largest and newest airport on the island of Hainan in the People's Republic of China. It is located 25km southeast of the main provincial city of Haikou and opened in 1999.

The airport, operated by Meilan Airport Company Limited, serves both domestic and international passengers.
