A kick ass heroine in a vampire's world

I read this book so quickly and immediately bought the following books in the Night Huntress series. Jeaniene Frost is now one of my favorite authors. If you liked the Twilight books even a little bit and are looking for a great read for a much more mature audience, this is the book for you.

Cat is a vampire slayer who hates that she’s half vampire. She takes revenge on the vampire race because of what her vampire father made her. Dressing up as a hooker and going specifically for vampires to lure them to their death, she gets out witted by the sexy vampire Bones and is taken hostage. Yet once they realize they are on the same side and fighting the bad vampires, they begin working together and the tension between them begins to grow. Bones trains Cat to be a stronger fighter and how to use her half-breed qualities to her advantage. Together they take on evil villains and become a deadly duo.

Cat is a very strong female character and if you like a kick ass heroine, you will love this book. It has some pretty steamy sex scenes, but has a lot of other qualities too, like intense fight scenes and exciting plots. It was a very quick paced book and I loved every minute of it. Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series is now a favorite among myself and my friends. Definitely give it a try if you're into the vampire craze like I am.
