Highland Park Cafeteria is no stranger to serving good home cooked meals. The smell of southern fried chicken, cheesy mac and cheese, baked rolls, and pastries welcomed LYD to a tasty delectable dinner.

Tastes like Nana's been slavin over the hot stove for hours and made all your favorite foods! Quick somebody get the elastic pants! The only decision to be made, is how full do you want to be tonight? let LYD make one for ya, start off with choosing the dinner plate...one entree plus two sides and a choice a bread..Ok that was easy!!! If a light meal is desired, stick with fish or the salmon pattie! But, LYD wants you to eat like there is no tomorrow, so we suggest the chicken tetrazine, which is not short on cheese!! Fresh noodles tossed with chicken pieces, red peppers, and cheddar cheese!
The golden brown rotisserie chicken was moist, juicy, and lightly seasoned with salt, pepper, and rotisserie seasoning. Yellow squash casserole was baked with fresh thinly sliced squash, diced onion, grated American cheese, and butter while topped off with crispy bread crumbs. Macaroni and cheese was made with melted yellow American cheese, milk, and boiled soft elbow noodles and mixed and kept warm just like mom used to make. Boston creme cake was delish, sweet, and delectable. Made of soft creme filling, smooth yellow cake, and decorated with a thin chocolate icing. Tasted just like a donut, but in a cake form. Really highlight the sugary, creamy, coconut pie baked to perfection. and the rare find of the boston creme pie. My first BCP experience and boy was it gooooood!
