Been missin’ some of granny’s cookin?? Lookin for a great place for the family? LYD newest joint, Highland Park Cafeteria, is a must eat! Highland Park Cafeteria is no stranger to serving good home cooked meals. The smell of southern fried chicken, cheesy mac and cheese, baked rolls, and pastries welcomed LYD to a tasty delectable dinner.

Highland Park Cafeteria is located in the heart of the Casa Linda district surrounding Dallas. Back in 1925, Sallie Goodman decided it was time to start a classic treasure for the community she lived in. Highland Park Cafeteria opened its doors August 24, 1925 and has been churning out American favorites since then! The Cafeteria expanded to many locations and is now back to it's original single family-owned location. According to Highland Parks' website many celebrities frequent the eatery for some good ol home-cookin'.

Highland Park cafeteria is everything a cafeteria should be! Space is never an issue, cause here its all about the food! But on special nights, eaters will be entertained by an pianist! HPC creates an environment that is comforting and relaxing! Whatever the time of day, Highland Park Cafeteria is ready to bring comfort food to your table. You, your family, and friends will enjoy a nice home-cooked meal.

Wanna be part of the family? Texas kindness is exuberate from the moment you enter to sitting at the table. Its just like at grandma’s house and its all about feelin great and sharin memories! As you stroll down the buffet line and contemplate what to stuff your face with, reach out to the knowledgeable staff to hear daily specials are and what their favorites are. LYD is always eager to learn employees favorite dishes!

We at LYD, decided cafeteria's place the healthy stuff at the beginning of the line to give us eaters the chance to choose healthy, but when we gander on down the line, fruits and salads are far from the mind.Highland Park raises the bar on all their salads, meats, seafood, and sides. All of the entrees, veggies, salads, breads, desserts is prepared fresh and homemade daily! New specials and features arrive on the line daily, as the chefs master new entrees for the eaters to delvuge in! Its thanksgiving all day, everyday at Highland park!!! Endless decisions to be made! Food galore!!! Just point to the dish and its yours! At Highland park Cafeteria the magic food wand is necessary! With a big smile all will come true and amazing eats magically appear on the plate! Be ready!!!

Tastes like Nana's been slavin over the hot stove for hours and made all your favorite foods! Quick somebody get the elastic pants! The only decision to be made, is how full do you want to be tonight? let LYD make one for ya, start off with choosing the dinner plate...one entree plus two sides and a choice a bread..Ok that was easy!!! If a light meal is desired, stick with fish or the salmon pattie! But, LYD wants you to eat like there is no tomorrow, so we suggest the chicken tetrazine, which is not short on cheese!! Fresh noodles tossed with chicken pieces, red peppers, and cheddar cheese!

The golden brown rotisserie chicken was moist, juicy, and lightly seasoned with salt, pepper, and rotisserie seasoning. Yellow squash casserole was baked with fresh thinly sliced squash, diced onion, grated American cheese, and butter while topped off with crispy bread crumbs. Macaroni and cheese was made with melted yellow American cheese, milk, and boiled soft elbow noodles and mixed and kept warm just like mom used to make. Boston creme cake was delish, sweet, and delectable. Made of soft creme filling, smooth yellow cake, and decorated with a thin chocolate icing. Tasted just like a donut, but in a cake form. Really highlight the sugary, creamy, coconut pie baked to perfection. and the rare find of the boston creme pie. My first BCP experience and boy was it gooooood!
