Homedics Blood Pressure Monitor Could Possibly Save Your Life

Just most recently my wife was diagnosed with hypertension. She started having headaches and no matter what she did she could not get rid of her headaches. So, she ended up in the doctor's office and he put her on some medication and told her to monitor her blood pressure.  All she had was a manual type as a way of monitoring her blood pressure. Years ago the only way that you could find out what your blood pressure was, was by going into the doctor's office and having them check it for you. But, if you did not have insurance then you were sol, or you would have to go into your local Walgreen's store and use the machine that they had. But, there was a problem with these units, since they were messed with by everyone that walked by, then you never really knew how accurate they were. So, that is the time to purchase your very own blood pressure unit.

Description
This unit (BPA-260-CBL) is the Cadillac of blood pressure units. This one only costs $100.00 and will talk to you. It also has a risk category icon, an irregular heartbeat detector, can be use for two different users and will memorize up to 120 uses. Just like the ones at the office this will measure diastolic and systolic levels. This also has voice assist (speaker is located on the surface in the middle), very large digital numbers, Microsoft capabilities, the date and time stamped issues. You also get two different size blood pressure cups (a 9" standard size and a large 13" size), a USB cable, storage bag, 4-AA batteries, an AC adapter, an instruction manual, plus a 5 year limited warranty. This is clinically proven to be as accurate as the ones at the doctor's office. To make sure that your reading is accurate this also has Smart Measure technology. This unit weighs less than one pound.

Experience
We have been using this for about six months and have noticed that this is really a breeze to read and operate. As soon as we installed the batteries we put the cuff on and hit the start button and after is inflated we waited a few seconds and a voice, (clear as a bell), came out of the unit and informed us about the results. This unit told us what our systolic and diastolic reading, and whether it was a normal or high reading. On the face where the digital numbers are you will see the time and date stamped and it will go into the memory. This machine will store these results for 120 uses or days, so if you take your blood pressure once a day it will keep it stored for six months. That is better than keeping a tablet around on the table and having to keep track of it. This monitor can be switched to Spanish or English. You have to remember that every time that you hit the start button, it counts against the 120 readings that will go into the memory. You have to be careful because this could damage this machine.

If you use the online service it will go a lot longer than six months long. All you have to do is plug in the USB into your computer and it should recognize that there is a new program. This will allow you to store extra health and fitness information, this is called Microsoft Health vault.

Conclusion
Even though we know that it is the medication that is mostly keeping our blood pressure in line, this unit will help monitor it. Just in case your medicine has to be adjusted up or down. Some people can be hard to get the blood pressure under control but with this unit it will help you and the doctor keep tabs on what is going on. This is also nice if you are traveling and are on the go all of the time, and because this has the capabilities of attaching to a computer if something goes awry all you have to do is to email the list to your doctor's office. If you do not want to email you can always print out a copy of all of the results which make the doctor's job a lot easier. This unit will give you satisfaction that there is nothing going wrong, but if something does start to go awry you will at least have a record of it. This could save your life.

at the early age of 40 both gender can have hypertension so if people wants to have longer life they have to monitor their health condition. There are many hypertension devices that are already available in the market. All they have to do is select what they like the most. Some of the examples of good blood pressure gauge are somehow like in this site http://www.pulsestore.com/medical-instruments.aspx In the market there are 2 type the digital and non-digital. both are useful but you should buy it according to what you need.
