The character of Honey Rider was superb, as she was a very capable and intelligent woman as well as extremely sexy. The Bond movies were extremely progressive in their portrayal of women; there was no shrieking, fainting or other emotional weaker sex nonsense. It all started with Honey Rider.
Ursula Andress sets the standard for all Bond girls. Her iconic entrance in Dr. No in the white bikini with the knife at her hip created an image that every school boy in 1962 will never forget. Even this gay boy fell in love with her. Although its true her voice was dubbed, her image set the screen on fire. Halle Berry paid homage to her in Die other Day, but failed to capture that same magic in my opinion. Jinx was no Honey Rider.
She was the first and many would say the best of the Bond Girls. She spends most of the film in her white bikini. Her entrance to the movie is her singing to herself while emerging from the ocean.
